Writing
Mon. – Introduce Narrative Essay:
The last day of school before a long break is often a fun time.  Everyone is excited and planning what he or she will do during the break.
Write about a time when you were excited about the last day of school before a long break.  Be sure to write in detail about the day and describe what you did.

Tues. –  Grammar – Revise & Edit Practice. “A Vote for Casi Is a Vote for You”
Planning using Thinking Maps/Flee Map

Wed. – Continue essay and revise and edit.

Thurs. – Final copy of essay submitted.           

Reading
 Mon. –  Magazine Article: “Feeding Your Microbes so They can Feed You”
ques.1-8

Tues. –  Paired Passage Narrative: “Summer Fun” and “Getting to the Point” ques.1-8

Wed. – Paired Passage Expository:
Newspaper Article and Informational Text.  “The Halls Are Alive with the Sound of Music” and “Getting a Bang out of Percussion Instruments” ques. 1-8


Thurs. – Poetry: “DNA, Oh DNA, What can I Say to DNA?” ques. 1-8
