discussion on themes and vocabulary for Ch. 1-2

Writing Mode: Expository Essay and Personal Narrative
Mon. – Begin
Expository Essay. Review prompt and purpose for writing.
Tues. – Work
on creating an effective controlling idea/thesis statement.
Wed. – Work
on body paragraphs giving reasons and supporting with explanation and examples.
Thurs. – Create conclusion and revise and edit draft. Students must check for correct capitalization, word usage, punctuation, and spelling.
